Observational study conducted in 359 Mexican women under 40 years of age to determine the prevalence of high-grade squamous intraepithelial cervical lesions and assess associated factors. High-grade lesions were identified in 39% of participants, with the highest proportion among women aged 35–39 years. The study also found a high prevalence of human papillomavirus infection and confirmed its association with high-grade cervical lesions.
